This program is the largest rural safety and health education program in the nation for children ages 8-12 years old with hands-on activities and exciting presentations designed to prevent injuries at home, school and on the farm.
The safety topics that will be covered at this year’s event include:
- Severe Weather
- Sleep and Screen time
- Distracted Driving
- Crime Scene Investigation (CSI)
- Camping Safety
- A Community Service Project
- Sun Safety
- Internet Safety & Bullying
- Lawn Mower Safety
- Substance Misuse & Poison Prevention
- Animal Safety
Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the Safety Day Wrap-Up session with their children at 3:30 pm.
Please join us for a fun-filled day of learning!
Children must be 8 years of age by July 23rd, 2019. Recommended ages are 8-12. Children 13 and 14 are allowed if parents deem they would benefit from the event. Safety Day will take place rain or shine so we ask that everyone dresses for the weather. No open toe shoes, flip-flops or sandals should be worn.
Program fee is $15 per child, which includes: lunch, snacks, t-shirt, visor and take-home bag. Children must attend the entire day/event to receive the station projects and goodie bag.
